Nelda Jean Caldwell, 89, of Benton, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was born April 14, 1932, to Emmit Calvin and Myrtle Dunlap. Nelda was loving, hard-working, and deeply devoted to her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and sewing. Nelda was a longtime member of First Assembly of God. In her later years she spent many hours playing cards with a group of dear friends in Clarksville.
She is survived by two daughters, Dana Anglin of Clarksville and Sheila Lambert of Benton; one son, Mike Caldwell of Clarksville; seven grandchildren, Leigha Young of Clarksville, Tessa Anglin of Clarksville, Matthew Caldwell and wife Maryanne of Fayetteville, Robin Baker and husband Patrick of Bryant, Lucas Caldwell and wife Kristi of Prairie Grove, Tyler Lambert of Benton, and Cody Green of Clarksville; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Yvonna Bowles and husband Carl of Oregon.
Nelda is preceded in death by her husband, Vance V. Caldwell; three brothers, Clifford Ruiel Dunlap, Calvin Dunlap, and Herschel Dunlap; and two sisters, Bertha Dunlap and Beulah Trout.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clarksville.

I met Nelda a few years ago ...thanks to our friend Linda...we attended services for. a year at Clarksivlle assembly..sweet sweet lady...beautiful inside and out..an honor to have met her...
Cody is my son in law, he is married to my daughter Andrea. I went to church with Sis Nelda at First Assembly. What a precious soul and a beautiful jewel of the Lord. My prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
