Janie A. Wooten, 92, of Dyess, AR, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021. Janie was born December 6, 1928, in Evadale, AR, to John Sharp and Alva Barnes. She was of the Baptists Faith, retired from American Greetings. She is survived by her son: Jerry Wooten of Dyess, AR; daughter: Janet Bailey of Dyess, AR, grandchildren: Wayne Bailey of Tyronza, AR, Jeff Bailey, of Dyess, AR, Jason Wooten of Charlotte, NC and Daniel Wooten of Memphis, TN; great grandchildren: Sidney Bailey of Walnut Ridge, AR, Annalea Bailey of Dyess, AR, Kalyn Bailey of Tryonza, AR, Braxton Bailey of Tyronza, AR, Olivia Wooten of Charlotte, NC, Dyess Wooten of Charlotte, NC, Caleb Edward Wooten of Charlotte, NC and Zelda Wooten of Memphis, TN; brothers: Will Barnes of Rossville, TN, Jimmy Barnes of Foley, AL and Jerry ''Freck'' Barnes of Jonesboro, AR. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Wooten; daughter: Connie Wooten; her parents; son-in-law: Donnie Bailey; daughter-in-law: Jean Ellen Wooten; brothers: John Junior Barnes, L. K. Barnes and Wayne Barnes; sisters: Arlene Pickens, Hazel Noblin, Nola Phillips, Louise Walton and Betty Wise. Janet, I am so sorry for your loss of your gracious mother. When I had the occasion to see your mother, I often thought that I couldn't imagine the depth of loss she must have felt losing Connie. And now I can only imagine that joyous reunion. Great is His faithfulness.

Oh my goodness i don't know where to begin i am so sad 😭 i have know Mrs janie my entire life, we would ask about one another all time when she saw my mother teresa or i would see janet anywhere around! As a kid i would go over to there house and they would purchase 1 of something i was selling no matter what! i always had a connection with janie and ed there was a special bond between us thru the years! i will miss her! 1 memory of her i will share! we were at the dyess annual reunion and her son drops her off told her to call when she got ready to come home as the day went on , i noticed she was looking for her "flip phone" in her purse and i ask her mrs janie what you looking for she said i got call my son to come pick me up she called no answer she panicked! i said don't worry i take you home she said honey you don't have do that i said it's just right down the road ha! I took her home she never wanted to misput anyone! i always loved her and ed and they will always hold a special place in my heart.❤️ I will be praying for family in the days to come she lived a long happy life on this earth now she has got her mansion she has been waiting for save a seat for me! love you all!

Janie was a very special lady. I loved our time with her as our neighbor and friend at Dyess. She was thought of often after we moved. Our family has many memories with her. Prayers for the family.
