Maurine Ruth Hardy, age 82, of Harrison, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at her home. She was born on December 10, 1938, in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, to Virgil Reed and Jennie Oldemeyer Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ray; her brothers, Stanley Reed and Jerry Reed; and her daughter, Linda.

Ruth enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, being outside, her animals, and watching professional wrestling and scary movies. She loved her family with all of her heart and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, David Oldemeyer, of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; her sister, Marilyn Hanson, of Greeley, Colorado; her sons, Charles Hardy, Jr. of Alaska and John Hardy of Colorado; and her daughter, Debbie Pace, of Harrison. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.


A memorial service was held on November 6, 2021, at the Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Donations in Ruth's memory can be given to the COPD Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
