JR Ketchum, 92, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away on November 1, 2021. He was born November 14, 1928, in Manila, Arkansas to parents Hubert and Ola Ketchum.
JR served in the Marine Corp for two years. He was a member of the Shriner Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star. He worked for General Motors as a corvette mechanic for 30 years and retired at the age of 52. He then moved back to Arkansas. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and riding around Norfork Lake. He loved being a Shriner and what they stood for. JR Ketchum was a true gentleman, family man, and a true friend.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ketchum, sons; Danny and Randy Ketchum, daughter; Charolatta (Ron) Fischer; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He is also survived by Becky (Bob) Villiger step daughter and son in law; 1 grandchild; and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lura Ketchum; father; Hubert Ketchum, mother; Ola Ketchum, a son; Danny Ketchum, and grandson; Kevin Fisher.
Services for Mr. JR Ketchum will be November 03, 2021 at 2:00 pm-Roller Funeral Home Chapel followed by a graveside service with military honors (American Legion).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital or Cancer Society.
Mr. Ketchum was a a true gentleman and christian. He will be missed.
