Bobby Coney, 88, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2021 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Coney was born Friday, October 20, 1933 to the late Sam Houston Coney and Paulene Stacks in Guy, Arkansas.
Mr. Coney served our country aboard the USS Shagri La as a Seaman in the United States Navy. After his military service, he laid carpet for many years in the Central Arkansas area. For several years he owned and operated the Wonder Water Slide in Conway, Arkansas. Mr. Coney was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas for many years. Bobby enjoyed fishing, camping, watching Western movies, spending time with family, and working with his hands.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-two years, Claudia Coney; three sons, Ronnie Coney (Phyllis) of Perry County, Arkansas, Ricky Gaither, Toby Coney of Conway, Arkansas; one daughter, Pam Chafton (Charlie) of Perry County, Arkansas; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Coney is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kenneth Webber; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

So sorry for your loss. Bob was my dad's boss. Many moms ago, my dad Richard Taylor thought so much of him. I remember Bob tried to get my dad to buy that waterside. I really enjoyed the time there, and the time I talked to Bob. My sister and i were really little when we first met Bob. He'll definitely be missed. Prayers for the family. Sorry about the passing of a long time friend, we were able to visit with Bob a couple of years ago and had a fun time talking about old times.
