Mr. Ellis Jones, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away, Friday, October 08, 2021 in Mountain Home. He was born on June 19, 1931 in Melbourne, Arkansas to Andrew and Maude (Hodge) Jones. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the College and North Church of Christ. He volunteered as a sojourner with the church helping children in need, loved reading his bible, playing the harmonica, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Ellis is survived by his wife Jackie Jones; 3 daughters: Peggy DeWeese (Barry), Rose Bell, and Donna Jarrett (life partner Tommy Sanders); 3 step-children: Johnny Beard (Linda), Connita Martin (Jeff), and Annette Hicks; 6 grandchildren: Matthew Lewis (Amanda), Michael Melton (Tara), James Raney (Brooke), Lance Raney (Deysha), Andy Bell (Ashley), and Tina Yoder (Matt); 6 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; brother: Bobby Joe Jones, and 3 sisters: Wanda Fisher, Helen Felton, and Shirley Grimes. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Gracie Marie Jones; parents; and granddaughter Melissa Jones.
A visitation will be held between 9-10am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the College and North Church of Christ with funeral services to follow. Interment will be private.
