To all of Charles family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Charles was the type of person that made everyone feel “right at home†whether the first time you met him or you had know him for years. That big ol’ smile will be greatly missed but all of those who have gone before us will welcome that smile and generous man in Heaven. Prayers to all of the family for God to give you strength, comfort and healing in the months ahead. God bless you all. Vicki Petree Stuart
In 2001 I was lucky enough to meet Charles and His whole crew when I moved to Compton. Pops quickly included me as one of his own and for that I will be forever grateful. He was a rock for me through many, and sometimes difficult, situations, but always managed to say just the things I needed to hear. I will surely miss our phone calls when we would laugh, reminisce, joke and get teared up at times, but he never judged me for who I am. Go rest high " you dirty dog" you are loved and will be greatly missed.
God watch over this family and help bring them peace. Love and Prayers.
Keeping Jacque and the family in my heart during this difficult time. Big hugs to you sweet friend.
Mike and I will sure will miss you up here on the mountain Charles. Won’t be the same without “the Mayor of Comptonâ€

Oh how I’m in shock we have lost a wonderful friend. He was such a hoot. Him and my mom’s friendship goes way back when I was a kid. My mom and dad and Charlie and his first wife use to go square dancing and country dancing back in the day when people still square danced. U couldn’t help to love Charlie he was the life of the party. I believe Charlie would help anyone in need or would give his shirt off his back , that was just Charlie. The man loved to dance and he was very good at it. I believe Charlie is dancing in Heaven today. Charlie wouldn’t want us to be sad but how could u not be sad , we lost a great guy. We will see him again , and don’t be surprised if he isn’t dancing lol! My thoughts and prayers go out to his sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters , other family and his friends but they n his book they were family too. Charlie will be missed by all that knew him and especially by my mom Helen ( Nana) Lowery his dance partner at the Moose Lodge. I’m sending my prayers to everyone that Charlie touched their life some way. I want to send these comforting scriptures to his kids and family .
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcame the world. John 16:33
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.Pro.17:22
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
