On Thursday September 9, 2021 Chuck Halbert passed away after a brief illness. Raised in Helena, Arkansas, he spent the final years of his life in Salem, Arkansas.
Halbert was a 1964 graduate of Central High School in Helena and continued his education at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was a member of Delta Sigma Fraternity in high school and pledged Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the U of A. Chuck was an avid Razorback fan and golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Halbert, and his sister Kacky Shields. He is survived by four sons, Chuck Halbert, Jr. (Helen) of Lexa; Christopher Halbert (Robin) of Hernando, MS; Jeff Halbert (Melissa) of Maumelle; and Joseph Halbert of Kentucky. He also leaves ten grandchildren, Emily Halbert, Charles Edward Halbert III ''Tripp'' (Lauren), Jake Halbert, Chris Halbert, Katie Halbert, Ella Halbert, Candice Summers, Krissy Halbert, Michael Halbert and Callie Rae Halbert; and four great-grandchildren Andrew, Gabriel, Jaxxson and Slade.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 14 at the Sunset Memorial Garden pavilion.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Sheffield, Frank ''Happy'' Kitchens, Hank Perrin, Jimmy Gordon, Terry Bowie and Bobby Roberts.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Chuck's memory to the Fulton County Hospital, 679 N. Main, Salem, AR 72576.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

Am so saddened by the loss of Chuck. I was 2 years ahead in school but we were friends and I remember great happy moments with his family at his home in Helena, Arkansas.
