Danny Edward Thomas Sr. passed from this life on August 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Patrick Thomas; and his parents, Edward ''Mann'' Thomas and Violet Louise Darby.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Debora Kay Thomas; his children Danny Thomas Jr. (Stephanie), Timothy Thomas (Zarah), Jonathan Thomas (Jennifer), and Tina Thomas; his grandchildren Caleb, Sarah, Ava, Elizabeth, Waylon, and Remi; his brothers and sisters Violet Williamson, Bobby Thomas, Jeff Thomas, and Janice Davis; as well as many treasured nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
Danny was retired from Coca Cola. He was very athletic and was a golden gloves boxer and ran track in his youth. More than anything else in the world, he enjoyed time with his family. He loved going fishing and playing basketball. He would cookout, dance, play dominos, card games and corn hole. He often declared himself, ''the champ.'' He loved life and enjoyed every single minute. He loved playing the lottery and dreaming of hitting it big one day. We, his family, know we already hit it big. We hit the lottery the day he was born. He always had a smile and a hug. He loved holding his grandbabies and talking about the good Lord. He wasn't shy about sharing his faith. He will be greatly missed and would want those left behind to live our lives in such a way as to be reunited in heaven one day.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 1:00pm, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Homes Chapel, with services immediately following.

I remember how close we became many years ago when we where going to church, we had lots of fun playing basketball, church Socials and so much more. We became more than cousins, we became very good friends. I miss you , but I have been promised to see you again.
