Irene and her husband Bill were dear neighbors to us for years, we have so many memories. She will be missed. Our prayers are with you, family.
My symptoms go out to her family. She was an inspiration. She made some of the most beautiful quilt tops that I have ever seen.
I'm glad I got to know Irene over the past several years. Always, when I visited with her, bringing Holy
Communion, she would offer to let me have any of the array of pills and meds she had spread out on her table, that I might want to take. And she bragged about her son Tony, who arranged everything so that she would take everything in proper order, and about her registered nurse daughter, who kept up with all her meds. A wonderful lady!
My sister, Pat, and I feel so fortunate to have known our cousin Irene. When we would be in Subiaco to visit our cousins, we would always stop by to visit with Irene. She would share stories of our relatives when they were younger. She was partly responsible for organizing our first family reunion after our mother, Ida Klaeger McNerney, passed away in 1987. We had not seen our relatives for many years so it was very special for us to reconnect with our cousins. We have stayed connected since then. We will be forever grateful for Irene’s work to get us all together. She will be missed but we know she is in a much better place.
So sorry for your loss. Irene was a warm, sweet, wonderful woman. May she Rest In Peace. We are praying for all of you.
