Blake SandersI am a Veteran.

of Fairfield Bay, AR

June 25, 1964 - August 4, 2021

Blake Sanders passed away on August 4, 2021, in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 25, 1964 to the late Fred Sanders and Frances Carr.

He is preceded in death by both parents, and one brother, Doug Sanders.

Left to cherish his memory are his husband, Johnny Gearhart, son, Blake J. Sanders (Maria), sister, Robin Wing, stepdaughter, Alex Gearhart, granddaughter, Paisley, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Blake joined the Navy after high school and moved to San Diego where his sister joined him. After his stint in the Navy, he became a painter with his Navy buddy, George for many years. He married and had one son, Blake Joseph and then ventured back to Little Rock, there he worked for UALR for 10 years. Blake then returned to San Diego to enjoy single life again. He started painting with George again until that business moved. He moved back to Little Rock and met his soul mate, Johnny Gearhart. They have shared many wild adventures together for the last 12 years.

Blake was a jack of all trades; he could fix anything being a craftsman. He loved tinkering on his cars, heavy metal music, working on his house and had a passion for lake life. Blake had a genius IQ and many of his mother's attributes. He was fair, non-judgmental, honest, tolerant and forgiving. Blake was a quiet man but, when he spoke, he was informative or funny. He was always ready for a good game of pool, a skill he had mastered. He was our hero and we will miss him greatly.

A Celebration of Life Service in Blake's honor will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas.

My dear Johnny...my heart aches for you! Blake was always very kind and it was apparent how much he loved you. I am very thankful for that! There are no words to comfort you at this time, but take comfort that his suffering is no more. I love you always....Karen
