Mrs. Annie , so sorry for your loss. Bro. Elvis was a wonder person. We enjoyed him very much at Friendship Baptist. Prayers for the family.
My dear sweet Annie, I am so very sorry to hear about your husband. May God grant you peace and comfort during this time. I so missed you this past year at Bible Study.
Going to miss Uncle Elvis Wayne very much. All my love, Punkin!
Brother Elvis has been a friend and pastor to me and my family (even pastors need a pastor). I am sad for those of us he has left behind, but so happy for him to be free from his pain, sickness and frailties. I am glad that he gets to see many of those he led to Christ and, most of all, he gets to see his Savior face to face. I am praying for you, dear family members.
We know how much you will miss him but find comfort in that he is rejoicing in heaven with the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Gary and Lisa
So sad to here of the passing of Elvis. As a kid I spent a lot of time n the Smith home. Elvis was 6 years older than me so he wasn’t home a lot. I loved spending time with this sweet family. In 1981 Elvis did the ceremony at my wedding. My husband went to heaven recently. I am sure they hav been visiting since he got home. It won’t be long until w will all be there together. What a glad reunion that will be. To the family my prayers are with you!
Bro. Elvis was a wonderful pastor and had a great influence on my life as a Young Christian. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time.
Annie. Just heard about your dear Elvis. I am so sorry. Will be keeping you in my prayers. Since I have not been able to stay for church I have missed seeing you.
Sending my condolences to you and your family .

Punkin and family : I pray for comfort at this difficult time. Bro Elvis was so very special to us. He led Virginia to Christ and helped me understand what Lordship of Christ meant. I remember when we first came to Temple Baptist because Cynthia (who was only 5) really related to him and was comfortable with him. He had that effect with children. And that’s special! I am sure Virginia gave him a big hug when he arrived in Heaven. Love you guys!â¤ï¸
This has got to be the Elvis Smith we knew years and years ago. Wife with the name "Punkin" just doesn't come around every day. We hope you remember us from Barnett when our oldest was a newborn. We moved from there to Mena a month or two after she was born. We had one more. She was born when her sister turned 8. It sounds like you folks led the life of a pastor. We did too! Tom became a minister around 1990 while we lived in Arkadelphia to finish school. He served several churches as Music and Youth and then He pastored Shannon Hills First for 9 years before retiring (he was not a young man when he chose to become a minister) We are currently members at Geyer Springs. Please let us hear from you, Punkin. We would love to hear how your family is doing. Bless Elvis, the picture of him in our head is not the picture in the obit. It is one around 40 years younger! God bless you and your family, we know this is a hard time for you.
Annie, we were so sorry to hear of Bro. Elvis's passing away. He was such a blessing to us on Wednesday nights at Friendship. God blessed him with more years than he probably expected....because of his health concerns. I know how much your family will miss him. We are praying for you and know he is having the best time in eternity with the Lord and those who have proceeded him. Sending our love.
Becky and family so sorry to hear about Elvis. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
God bless you Punkin. Elvis Wayne was always one of my favorites in the fam. I won’t be able to attend due to recent surgery, but you know how much I cared for Elvis. We are always here for you!
Punk in and boys,
Our heart is heavy knowing what a loss you have endured but with your faith I’m sure you are rejoicing that Elvis is now home with the Lord and is enjoying all the things the Lord promised him. I need to tell you in case Louise hasn’t, that Donnie is bedfast and I am with her 24/7 except for the trips I have to make to the Doctors and to the grocers as necessary. Know that we love you and will remember you in our prayers. Take care.
Prayers for comfort. We love you and know you will always have great memories of Elvis. We sure do. He was a man of God.
It was such a joy to know him and really miss his fellowship over the past year because of Covid. We know he is making Jesus laugh right now!
So sorry.
I am so thankful God merged our, Lenny's and my own, path with Elvis'.
Serving together on missions in Mexico hos passion for God and joy were such a witness of the love of Christ within him. He was as unique and wonderfully unexpected as his green beans.
Heavens gain is simply adding to the reasons I am excited when I think of going home. I don't have the shot that says I can travel abroad on this side of eternity but I've got Jesus and a one way ticket to my dream destination which I, like Lenny and like Elvis, carry in my heart.
Elvis, I beat you to Mexico but you beat me home. See you soon brother,
Sherry
It's very difficult to put into words of how Bro Elvis guided me through some of life's journey with Jesus.
I was blessed to be Baptized by Bro. Elvis.
Mrs. Punkin I'm sorry for your loss. But I am happy that Bro. Elvis is truly home.
May God bless and comfort you during this difficult time.
Love in Christ,
Laura Lovell

I heard a big sigh of relief from the fish of Upper,Middle and Lower Crooked lakes of the White River National Wildlife Refuge (WRNWR) and then became aware of Bro. Elvis joining his fishing partners that Jesus ran around with. Bro. Elvis was a fisher of fish and men, I’ll miss him.
