February 7, 1932 - July 21, 2021

Georgia Faye (Avey) Reed, 89, of Batesville was embraced by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

She was born February 7, 1932 in Cozahome, Arkansas to the late James Olwin and Rosa Bell (Humphrey) Avey. Georgia Faye was a long-time member of Landmark Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, sang in the choir, and cared for the little ones in the nursery.

Throughout their years together, Curtis and Georgia Faye shared a love of laughter and feeding loved ones.

Georgia Faye also enjoyed floating the Buffalo River, riding horses, looking at fall foliage, going to family reunions, and hunting bargains at any yard sale or flea market she could find.

She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one sister, Bobbie Jane Huddleston of Springdale.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 56 years: Curtis Alvin Reed, Sr., and eleven siblings.
