Joe W. Box, age 83, of Wynne, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Crossridge Community Hospital. He was born March 20, 1938 in Ripley, Mississippi to the late Etter Meeks Box and Charley Box. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, driving dump trucks, and senior citizens dance night every Friday at the VFW.

He is survived by his two sons, Steve Box and Harold Box both of Wynne; two daughters, Brenda Stephens (Otis) of Elaine, Arkansas and Michelle Luna (Jose) of Wynne; eight grandchildren, Melissa Tharp, Sheena Stephens, Sophia Luna, Olivia Luna, Sylar Box, Christina Box, Matthew Box and Steven Box; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Williams (Lynn) and Shirley Box; a special friend whom was his aid, Leigh McCallister; a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 wonderful years, Irene Box; parents; two brothers, Buddy Box and Otis Box; sister, Lorene Mitchell; grandchild, Wesley Andrade.

Funeral services for Mr. Joe W. Box will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Roller-Citizens chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held an hour before the service. Burial will follow to Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Dustin Logan will officiate.

Pallbearers are Steven Box, Otis Stephens, Jose Luna, Steve Box, Harold Box and Aaron Bradshaw.
