Virginia Wooten Topp, age 92, of Germantown, formerly of Helena, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation visiting family in Arizona. She was born July 5, 1928 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Wooten. Mrs. Topp was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Ladies Auxiliary and supported the Fine Arts Center and the Helena Museum. She enjoyed needle point sewing. She did many of the kneelers in the church and loved being with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Drake (Jackie) of Collierville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jay Drake (Anna), Thomas Drake (Emily), Betsy Hagen (Craig) and Jamie Topp; two great grandchildren, Harris Drake and Reese Drake; daughter-in-law, Felecia Topp of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Robert "Pete" Topp; her son, Jim Topp; and her parents.

A funeral service for Virginia Wooten Topp will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Helena, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Father Russ Snapp will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 625 Pecan Street, Helena, Arkansas 72342; and The Helena Museum, 623 Pecan St. Helena, Arkansas 72342.

Dear Aunt Sue, Sister Betsy and other family friends. I was sorry to hear of Mrs. Ginnies' passing. I have so many memories and I wish to one day hopefully reconnect with you all.
