Roy (Bogie) Deaton Jr., age 55, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. He was born November 9, 1965 in Helena, Arkansas to Willene S Deaton and the late Roy Bogart Deaton Sr. Bogie enjoyed his motorcycle and four-wheeler riding, searching for arrowheads, fishing, and his never-ending love for deer and hog hunting.
Bogie is survived by one daughter, Hallie Ann Deaton of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; his fiancé, Scarlett Lindsey of West Helena, AR; his Mother, Willene S. Buckliew of West Helena, AR; one sister, Cherie Schwantz (Michael) of Barton, Ar.; one step-sister, Ann Westerfield of Shreveport, La.; two nephews, Jordon Schwantz (Haley) of Maynard, Ar. and Jacob Schwantz of Barton, Ar.; one niece, Jaclyn Schwantz (Josh Mallard) of Lexa, Ar.; one great nephew Winston Mallard of Lexa, Ar; one great niece, Lillian Mallard of Lexa, Ar.; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Bogart Deaton Sr. and his step-father Charles Buckliew.
A funeral service for Bogie Deaton will be held at 02:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 01:00 p.m. until service time. Burial to follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in West Helena. Brother Audie Richardson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Chris New, Tracy Rhodenizer, Brad Hoover, John Bradshaw, Peter Dorsett, John Robinson and Mike Farkas.
