Arvella E. Krause, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on June 24, 2021. She was 91. Arvella was born in Benton on August 16, 1929, a daughter of John W. and Viola Wilson Lovell. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Bruce) Hobbs; a grandson, Richard Bruce Hobbs all of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her sister, Mary Frances Izard.
On June 4, 1950, Arvella was united in marriage to John R. Krause. John preceded her in death. Arvella was very active in the community. As a member of Benton First Baptist Church, she was a Sunday school teacher for over 60 years. A graduate of Benton High School, Arvella enjoyed being treasurer of Shoppach House and her time with the Saline County Art League. Her family enjoyed the results of her gardening and cooking.
Arvella is preceded in death by her sisters, Olga Lovell McPhearson, Margie Lovell Willis, Anna Mae Lovell Ball, and her brother, William Lovell.
Funeral services for Arvella will be conducted Tuesday, June 29 at noon at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Dr. Rick Grant. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday, June 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the Krause family requests donations be made to the Saline County Art League Friends of the Shoppach House, P.O. Box 662, Benton, AR 72018.
