Betty (Pearson) James, 94 of Hagarville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, in Clarksville, Arkansas. Betty was born November 5, 1926, in Minnow Creek, Arkansas to James M. "Bud" Pearson and Sarah Jane (Morris) Pearson. Betty was a member of the Clarksville Church of Christ. Betty was a member of the EH Club of Hagarville for 70 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, going to church. She always helped others in the community to go wherever they needed to go. Betty never missed a game when her children and grandchildren had a game. Betty also worked with her sister Hazel at Stewart Sheppard Fashion.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Alvin "Son" James of 72 years; Granddaughter Brooke Anne Holman; Great Grandson Parker Fullerton; six brothers Virgil, Beryl, Gordon, LeRoy (Dutch), Orville, and Durard Pearson; three sisters Hazel Sheppard, Louise (Wilkins) Zachary, and Ruth Cooper.
Betty is survived by her son Randy (Billie) James of Hagarville, AR; daughter Judy (Larry) Holman of Russellville, Arkansas; grandchildren Jason (Angie) James of Hagarville, Arkansas; Rachel James of Bentonville, Arkansas; Whitney James of London, Arkansas; Brock (Jen) Holman of Little Rock, Arkansas; Jama (Shane) Fullerton of Searcy, Arkansas; and Marissa Roberts of Russellville, Arkansas.; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at Roller-Cox funeral home chapel. Funeral will be held June 24, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. Clarksville Church of Christ with Bro. Jake Chism officiating. Burial will follow in Minnow Creek Cemetery. With Jason James, Eric James, Weston James, Brady James, Abrahm James, Shane Fullerton, Brock Holman and Arlie Wilkins serving as pallbearers. Morris "Sonny" Pearson, Wilson "Bub" Pearson, Donald Wilkins, David Pearson, and Dennis Pearson serving as honorary pallbearer.
