of Bartlett, TN
September 20, 1929 - June 9, 2021
Norman Crawford Bledsoe was born in Vanndale, AR on September 20th, of 1929, to Neal and Effie Bledsoe. He was one of eleven brothers and sisters. Norman passed away in Memphis, TN, on June 9th, 2021, at the age of 91.
As a young man he finished his formal education and began his career and his family in West Memphis, AR. He served honorably in the Air Force during the Korean conflict, returned to West Memphis, and married his lifelong love, Nancy Jane McKinney.
Retiring from a very successful career as a National Accounts Representative for a major medical equipment manufacturer, and unable to ''sit still he continued working in retirement, at various jobs, ending with Arkansas State University Mid-South, where he was well loved. He considered his coworkers at ASU, to be his second family.
Norman is survived by a brother, Billy Bledsoe, a sister Mary Bob Brawner (Larry), a son, Steven Bledsoe (Charlette), a grandson, Madison C. Bledsoe (Sharlia), a granddaughter, Julia Marie Bledsoe, and an ''army'' of nieces and nephews, too many to list, but loved very much, by their ''Uncle Norman''.
Grave side services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 2:00pm, at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.

Norm was my second Dad. I loved him dearly. I will always have wonderful memories of such a good man. I still quote some of his favorite sayings. I’m so honored to have known him.
Norm was such a nice man! I would see him on campus at ASU Midsouth and he never failed to stop and speak...always positive and smiling. Rest easy now Norm!

Steve,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories growing up with Norm and Jane. It always made your Dad smile when I saw him on the ASU Mid-South campus and he called me by my nickname. He was a great man.
Mr. Norm was a fine fella!
So many memories with him at MSCC! He had a gift of turning a boring job into a fun task, a dull moment into a story worth telling a hundred too many times. He was always surrounded by smiles and laughter!
He was a great friend! I’m proud to have crossed paths with him, and blessed to carry the things Ive learned from him with me. He will not be forgotten.
Sorry for your loss to cousins Mary Bob snd Billy.
Norman worked at the West Memphis Toggery at one time for my father, Edwin Forrest Bledsoe, owner of the men’s clothing store.
One time my Daddy took me fishing, and I was about age 8. Norman was working in a bait shop. So he taught me how to bait a worm on a hook! I thought and said it was ‘yucky’, and ‘doesn’t it hurt the worm?’’ Of course all the men at the bait shop laughed!
But I did catch my first fish that day!
And since that time in the 1950s, I have fished in many Western states and remembered that time.
He was a wonderful man with a great smile! He will be missed.

There will never be another man like Norman. He was definitely one of a kind. He always treated me like family. He will be missed greatly.
I met Norman when he and my husband Larry worked at ASU-Midsouth. He was such a warm, cordial man who obviously liked people. Larry always spoke so highly of Norman and really liked and respected him. He’ll be most comfortable in Heaven reunited with his large earthly family but will be missed by those of us here.
