Curtis "Bob" Riley Jr., 86, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born, Blytheville, Arkansas, on October 29, 1934, to Curtis Riley, Sr. and Lavada Reid Riley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his 3 sisters, Jeanet Riley, Diane Riley, and Betty VanCleve.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Riley; his daughter, Vickie Riley Henson; his grandson, Justin Tyler Henson and wife, Catherine Henson; his four great-grandchildren, Dallas Henson, Virginia Henson, Riley Henson and expected great-grandson, Beaux Henson.
Bob honorably served in the United States Navy, and was a faithful member and attended Angels Way Baptist Church, until he was not able to drive. He was a truck driver and one of his favorite passions was horseback riding. Bob took great pleasure, in assisting his wife Joyce, in managing City Feed & Supply of West Memphis, Arkansas, for over 45 years.
Visitation will be held on at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N Pine Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a Memorial Service immediately following.
I have just found out about Bob's passing. I did business with him and Joyce for years and am so sorry that he has passed. He was a good man and I always enjoyed talking to him and Joyce when I was at the feed store. God bless the family.
Just learned of Mr. Riley's passing. Wanted to send our condolences on your loss. I know it's been a long while that he was not himself, so I know it has been tough. I’m so sorry y’all for your loss Mr. and Mrs. Riley were the best and Bob was just there’s no words to describe how good of a person he was I know he will be greatly missed because he was loved by many.
Thank you for your kind words about my father. He will be greatly missed. His life embodied the love of Jesus for every one he met. He never met any he considered a stranger, always laughing, and enjoying his life and loving the people God placed in his path and life. I know he’s with Jesus now, and we will one day see him again. Better is one day in God house than a thousand elsewhere
