After a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer, Jodi Porterfield passed away peacefully in her home on June 5, 2021, at the age of 55.
Jodi Allen Porterfield was born on January 17, 1966 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was happily married to Jeffrey Porterfield who was her partner in life for 36 years at the time of her death.
She had a successful 28 year Career with the State of Arkansas. She retired shortly after her diagnosis. She was very proud of her Career and all that she had accomplished in those years. She was a driven professional with an unmatched work ethic and an avid ''Ga'' to her grandchildren.
Jodi had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. Her smile was infectious and lit up the entre room. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She was a problem solver and had an answer for everything. Jodi's larger than life personality and spirit is what she will always be known for. She was the kind of person you just wanted to be around and talk with. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with.
She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Porterfield; her daughter Jesyca Porterfield; her son-in-law Jeremy Wilcox; grandchildren Avery Wilcox and Wyatt Wilcox, her mother and father; and numerous other family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Monday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery.

Jodi was a smiling pack of joy to be around. She was one the best employees I had at the daycare. I’m praying for you all.
