Shirley Conyers Grimes, 83, of Brookland, passed away, Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born January 2, 1938, in Trumann to Luella and Dave Mott.
She previously worked at Riceland Foods and was a member of Pine Log United Methodist Church. Shirley enjoyed going to yard sales and quilting.
Preceding her in death are her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of fourteen years, James Grimes; son Rick Stewart of Lawrence, Kansas; daughters, Debbie (Robert) Morgan of Lawrence, Kansas, Carol Meaders, Cathy Burk, Leah (Billy) Whitted and Sara Grimes and Bob Hatfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene, David and Leon Mott.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Pine Log Cemetery at 3:00pm, Monday, with Albert Camp officiating.

James I am sorry I know that you have empty spot in your heart that only God can feel for you I counted it a blessing to be able to help with Shirley in the last several months prayers for both sides of the family.
We are so sorry to hear that Shirley has passed away, We use to visit in our younger years and had some good old times together. We went to Church together too. I loved her and she will be mist by all who knew her. R.I.P. Shirley until we meet again. Prayers for all her family.
