of West Memphis, AR
December 23, 1946 - May 27, 2021
James Lloyd Brasfield passed away at his home in West Memphis on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 74. Mr. Brasfield was born December 23, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Aden and Elizabeth Brasfield.
James was of the Baptist faith and worked as a Commercial Construction Drafter for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer and was a passionate Arkansas Razorback sports fan in particular Arkansas baseball. He loved his family and cherished every moment with them.
James is survived by his brother Glen Brasfield (Linda) of Victoria, Texas and his sister Sylvia McFerrin of West Memphis, Arkansas as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Gene and Joe Brasfield and his sister Nell Howell.
Graveside Service will take place at the new pavilion located on the grounds of Crittenden Memorial Park.
I worked with him at Pidgeon-Thomas for 2 years. He was the one who inspired to make a guitar with the body of a Razorback Hog. I later got my son to detail it.
He was the Uncle of Teresa Garrison. I told him I had invited Teresa and Tim to an ASU football him. He said Tim and Teresa were getting married that night. But he said "I guess I wasn't supposed to tell you that". But I didn't let it tell anybody.
He was a good man.
