Joan Mahaney Allen, born November 1, 1932 moved from the top of Bud Brown Hill to Heaven on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the age of 88.

The world needs more people like “granny Joanâ€. {{{HUGS}}} to all her family members who grieve this loss and continued prayers for the difficult days ahead.

Melba, Ronnie and family. I wish I could have known Granny. She sounds like an amazing Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I know your family will miss her in the days to come. I am glad you can find such peace in knowing she is with Jesus and others she loved on this earth.
Dear family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember your Mom working at Privitt's store in Shirley. She was always sweet and kind in her quite way. Prayers for all the family.
What an impact this woman made on my life, and she barely said a handful of words to me! She didn’t have to speak. It was how she carried herself. It takes an anointed, loving and unselfish person to accept people as they are, and Ms Joan did that. She loved with just her countenance. She was a beautifully gracious woman whom God used to touch so many. She will be remembered and missed dearly.
I love all of the family and you are all in my prayers as you send your momma to be with her truest love...God.
So sorry for your loss. Praying for comfort for her family. Mercedes and I are so glad we got to meet this sweet lady at church. Rest in peace Joan.
Such a sweet and Godly lady. She will be missed by so many. I have great memories of growing up with the Allen family as our neighbors and going to church with them. Joan and my daddy shared many birthdays together.
Prayers to all of the family. Love you all!
