Ruby Jean Wyssbrod, age 73, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born March, 30, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Jewel Agnes Gammel and Nolen Hugh Bryan. Ruby retired from Walmart and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her grands and great grandchildren along with her collection of roosters.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Richardson (Ricky Pruitt) of West Helena; grandchild, Abby Lea Hardy (Patrick) of West Helena; two great grandchildren, Layton Hardy and Nolan Hardy; two brothers, George Bryan and Hank Bryan; six sisters, Faye Owens (Jerry), Carolyn Whitten (Harold), Peggy Deaton, Stella Rushing, Sandra Harvey and Felecia Peters (Charlie); sister in law, Tannie Bryan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Richard Wyssbrod; parents; and one brother, Charles Bryan.
A memorial service for Ruby Jean Wyssbrod will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Harmony Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Foundation of San Antonio, Texas. jewishfederation@jfsatx.org or Mt. Vernon Association, in care of Mr. Donnie Jones, 803 West Merriman, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
