Mrs. Janie Elwanda Baltzell, 83, of Jonesboro passed away May 8, 2021. She was born February 10, 1938 in Walnut Ridge to John and Mary (Warner) Stone. Before retirement she worked for Crane, Holiday Inn and owned her own Flea Market. Mrs. Janie loved crafts, karaoke (was the Queen), volunteering in her retirement received many awards, loved Bingo and spending time with her family. She was a soldier for the Salvation Army.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Baltzell; daughters, Mary Louise Newsom and Beverly Jo Goad (Dickie); siblings, Henry Stone (Thelma), Johnny Stone (Darlene), Harold Stone (Hazel), Frank Stone (Eunice), Joseph Stone (Wanda),
Left to cherish her memories are son, Connie ''Redd'' Newsom; daughters, Pattie Diane (Billy) May and Lisa Renea (Darrell) Dixon; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Stephanie Hargis officiating. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will precede services 12:30 1:30 pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401.

I’m so sorry to hear the passing of Ms. Janie! I always loved her, she was always so kind and loving and respectful to me! She had a voice of an angel, always enjoyed hearing her sing! Ms. Janie was such a wonderful human. I have known her for almost 40 years and she was nothing but kind to me and my family. She had a silly sense of humor and was always fun to be around.
