Gregory "Sonny" Helton, born December 17, 1946 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was married to Rosa "Neacy" Helton and was of the Pentacostal faith.
Mr. Sonny is survived by his wife, Neacy; two daughters, Michelle Whited (Mark) of Florence, KY and Kim Foster (Chris) of Maumelle, AR; eight grandchildren, Allen Aunspaugh (Brittany), Ryan Whited (Jess), Tamara Mott, Peyton Stanton (Mason), Emma Gastineau, Finn Foster, Emerson Foster, Aiden Foster; five great grandchildren, Karley Mott, Lillie Aunspaugh, Audrey Nixon, Layla Aunspaugh, Cam'ren Strain and Emma Phillips; one sister, Joyce Smith of Sulfer Rock, AR; two brothers, Clarence Virgil "Butch" Helton (Evelyn) of Goodletsville, TN, and Gerald Boyce "Bobby" Helton (Helen) of Gary IN.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd and Lillie Helton; three brothers, Alvin Wayne Helton, Delmer "Doc" Helton, and Elmer Helton; three sisters; Nacy Hammonds, Betty Hammonds, and Bille Whaley.
A graveside service for Gregory "Sonny" Helton will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Ryan Whited will officiate.
Pallbearers are Ryan Whited, Allen Aunspaugh, Chris Foster, Mark Whited, James "Doodlebug" Smith and Jerry Whaley.

The one thing I remember most about Sonny was his avid support of the Barton football team. I don't believe anyone else cheered on the Barton Bears like Sonny did. Really gonna miss him. Prayers for the family.
