Jorene Barnett, 89, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Good Samaritan. She was born on March 17, 1932, to the late Charley Ray and Mertle Lou (Reynolds) Hodges in Gassville, Arkansas.
Jorene loved being around people and helping others in any way she knew how. She worked in childcare most of her life, including watching and caring for her grandchildren. She loved a good party and playing games. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Dewey (Alfred), two sons: Mike Barnett (Jill) and Roger Barnett; four grandchildren: Sara Cotter (Jason), Brian Barnett (Ashton), Chad Dewey (Allyson), and Jeremy Dewey (Sarah); ten great grandchildren: Jacob, Xavier, Eleanor, Dryer, Leah, Lauren, Libby, Addie, Marlee and Parker; several cousins; and the caregivers and friends at Good Samaritan, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; two sisters, Eloise and Carol; a great granddaughter, Emma Grace Barnett and daughter-in-law, Connie Barnett
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice House, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
Sorry! For Your Loss. I will always remember how she extended her love to me and various others! She was so...Precious! I remember a lot of wonderful times together, at Gospel singings as well.
Jojo was so special to us. We loved her and Papa Harold. We are sorry for your loss, but rejoicing that she is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior!!

We were so sad to hear about the passing of Jolene. We lived next door to her and Mr. Harold for several years and she babysat our Katie . Katie adored her Jojo. Jolene was so caring and loving. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to all the family.
Granny Jorene was the most kind and precious woman. I remember my time with her fondly. She was always ready for hug and sweet words whenever I saw her. Her and PaPa Harold are reunited and smiling down at all of you! Sending your family thoughts, love and prayers during this time.
Mrs. Jorene was such a sweet, happy person. She was a joy to be around and her wonderful smile got me through many days while visiting my own mother at a Good Samaritan. She was loved by so many people and we will all miss her. I will be praying for comfort and strength for you on the days ahead.
While Mom was at Good Samaritan Jorene was a joy to visit with. She always had a smile on her face and a sweet word. You all are in my prayers.
