I remember the first time I met Elaine..3rd grade I think..the teacher was stretching our minds and asked if anyone could spell "tintinnabulation"...Elaine raises her hand and to everyone's surprise she spelled it out quickly.
I also remember in a few years later she would pull her Red lipstick out in the middle of class and apply it without a mirror..
Needless to say, I was always in awe of her! We would study together later on as we went to Westside Elementary.
Her Mother would always be waiting at the door for her whenever I would walk home with her from school. I admired them both. Elaine was frequently on my mind after I moved to California when I was 16....and even through time and space I never forgot her. ❤

I had a lot of laughs with Elaine growing up. Her smile and laugh were infectious—my memories are of her always laughing. She made awesome homemade candy too. I’m thankful Elaine was a part of my childhood! Sceleta and family I’m thinking of you.
