Woodrow Wilson Holman, Jr., 79, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at his home on May 4, 2021.
He was born April 30, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Woodrow Holman and Dorothy Katherine (Hylander) Holman and was raised in Pine Tree, Arkansas.
Wilson lived in Charlotte for many years and attended Center Grove Baptist Church. In his latter years, his best days started with checking cows alongside his wife of thirty-three years, Sandy. He loved gathering with his family where his roaring voice led loud conversations about life, horses, or the grandkids' next sport or activity.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Weaver) Holman, of Charlotte, Arkansas; his sister, Linda McKee and husband, Jimmy Ray McKee, of Pine Tree; two daughters, Jackie Davis and husband, David, of Yellville and Aralene Byars and husband, Ron, of Charlotte; one son, Dean Holman and wife, Candi, of Sulphur Rock; one stepson, Cody Martin, of Newark; one stepdaughter, Candi Martin, of Batesville; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Dorothy Holman and one stepson, Marty Martin.
Pallbearers Sam Stalker, Cameron Martin, Lucas Martin, Greg Dease, Justin Holman, Lane Holman, Logan Holman, and Tyler Little.
Visitation will be held at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Paul Grove and Barry Anderson officiating. Burial services will follow at the Charlotte Cemetery in Charlotte.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207 or Arkansas Hospice, 2233 Harrison Street, Batesville, AR 72501.
