Debbie and family of my good friend Roger,
I am so saddened by the passing of Roger. He always stood by his friends with great loyalty and support. We grew up together in the Fair Haven/Sterling area. In elementary school he was the student that brought the unusual to class to share. The first seahorse I had ever seen which he had obtained from Florida and local polliwogs as they morphed into frogs. He loved the outdoors with its magic and sometimes unexpected challenges. I will deeply miss Roger as I know many of our classmates will too. I hope your families loss and sadness will quickly turn to your fond, fun and loving memories.
Rest In Peace my fine friend!
Carl

Dear Roger—One day, when I was sixteen, I dropped my sister at her friend’s house on my way to work. There I met two young gentlemen, enjoying a beer and a cigarette after a long day. Little did I know that one of those guys would become my husband and the other would be part of my family for the next 45 years. So many memories: camping trips, family dinners, holidays, playing games around the dining table. And that infamous road trip from Texas to Montana where we got “lost” and nearly ran out of gas in Yellowstone Park. There were weddings and funerals and new babies...love, and life, and loss. And through it all, your wicked sense of humor kept us laughing. Geography separated us, but the friendship never wavered. Today, I see Roger and Greg together again, sharing a beer and a cigar at the end of a long day. May you rest in peace, my friend. You are missed.😢
