Norman "Pa" Pittman, age 84, of Harrison, passed away in Harrison on Friday, April 23, 2021. Norman Dale Pittman was born on September 7, 1936, in Enon, Arkansas, the youngest son of Guy and Esta Pittman. Norman was reunited at the Gates of Heaven with the love of his life, Janet Lee (Craig) Pittman. Along with his parents and wife, Norman was also preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Pittman; his son-in-law, Mike Keller; his daughter-in-law, Marie Pittman; and his granddaughter, Amy Villines.

Norman retired from the Arkansas Highway Department after working there for more than 20 years. At the age of 75 years, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He and Janet were married on December 5, 1955, and enjoyed 56 years together.

Norman is survived by his sons, Ron Pittman and wife Joyce, of Harrison and Mike Pittman of Berryville and David Pittman of Green Forest; and his daughter, Teri Keller, of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Pa had been loved by and is survived by ten grandchildren, Tera DeMeyer, Mindy Hicks, JR Pittman, Christine Wilson, Michelle Rivera, Heather Keller, Mike Keller, Justin Pittman, Jennifer Pittman, and Jerdin Pittman; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, who have fond memories of reaching into his front pocket for a piece of gum. He had spent his life being loved by a host of family and many dear friends.



The visitation was Monday, April 26, 2021, at Alpena First Baptist Church.

Funeral Services was Monday, at the Church with Reverends Freddie Blevins, Rob Davis, Justin Knight, and Joey Kelley officiating.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, JR Pittman, Mike Keller, Justin Pittman, and Jerdin Pittman and great-grandsons, Kelby Howerton, Josh Wilson, Dalton Sattler, Duston Savage, and Bryceton Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers were Pa's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be missed by many I always enjoyed when him and Mrs. Pittman would come in the cafe and eat they were always friendly prayers for the family for their loss

Mr. Pittman was always so cheerful and kind. I enjoyed seeing him many times at the pharmacy and around town. He was always smiling and just a pleasure to b around. Prayers for his family.
