of Fox, AR
February 3, 1940 - April 18, 2021
Jean Ross, 81, of Fox, Arkansas passed away on April 18, 2021 at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Jean was born on February 3, 1940 in Prim, Arkansas to Leroy and Eva (Dillard) Vandiver.
Jean Ross was a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, mother-in-law, and an aunt; but where she shined most was as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a model helpmate to her husband, the reason that Woman was created. She gladly accepted and flourished in that role to which this world now denies. She could work like a man and surprisingly have a delicious meal ready for the family on time every day. She was so supportive of her family with never a complaint. She was a quiet soul never expressing anger to anyone that was heard and never voicing her opinions loudly. She loved the Lord and was a model of a true woman. She will hold a special place in many hearts. Goodbye for now, mom.
Jean is survived by her sons; Richard Ross and wife, Marsha and Thomas Ross; daughter, Shelly (Ross) Carney and husband, Randall; sister, Georgia Flanagan; grandsons, Lane Ross and Chase Carney; granddaughters, Eden Ross and Shelby Carney and her aunt, Freda.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Gene Ross; parents, Leroy and Eva (Dillard) Vandiver; brother, Chester Vandiver and sister, Velma Vandiver.
Graveside services for Jean are Thursday, April 22, 2021, 11:00 AM at Fox Cemetery in Fox, Arkansas with Brother Stanley Sutterfield officiating.
Pallbearers are Sam Linville, Josh Linville, Junior Linville, Gene Strayer, Chase Carney, and Kenny Green.

I will always remember Jean and Shelby. I was a little girl but was so impressed with all the cannin and cattle and how busy their farm life was.
