Richard Lee Ford

of Marshall, AR

November 11, 1942 - April 12, 2021

Richard Lee Ford, age 78 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, April 12th, 2021 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born in Los Angeles, California on November 11th, 1942 to Jesse Lloyd Ford and Mary Ruth Flowers. Richard is now sleeping in death, awaiting the resurrection.

He was brother of two, father of four and friend of many.

Richard lovingly devoted his life to helping and protecting others starting at a very young age. He was devoted and loyal. He loved living in Arkansas for over 33 years and felt most at peace here. His new friends became family during the past 16 years and they were greatly loved and appreciated by Richard and his children. "We love Richard, he's family." were words of great comfort to Richard's children. Richard felt at peace and experienced much care and love as he spent his final months at Highland Court. We all appreciate the devotion shown to Richard. He penned these words to the staff at Highland Court. "You each hold a special gift: a spark of divinity, if you will. My spirit is lifted as you folk enter my room to care for my moment's needs. I am honored. You are greatly appreciated and much loved." Richard's children would like to express extreme gratitude to the staff at Highland Court. You provided care and true compassion to our dad. He was safe there and felt like he was home with family. Special thanks to all Dads' neighbors on the river.

Richard knew my family for years and though I knew him only a short time I felt as though I had known him forever. In the time Richard spent at Highland Court and the times we spent talking I gained a mountain of knowledge and respect. He was truly loved and respected by all of us! Richard is gone of this world but forever remains in the hearts of everyone who knew him. RIP my friend!💙

I just found out about Dick. I am so sad. I had no idea he was at Highland. He was a kind, compassionate man with such a dry sense of humor. May he Rest In Peace. Condolences to his family.

I'd say Richard was a dear friend.....he helped do electrical work on a few of my remodeling projects in Leslie and as always mentored me on spiritual matters, he was a very wise and caring gentle-man. I am very saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God speed Richard.

I met Richard, "Dick" right after he moved here and we became friends immediately. He always had a joke for me.
