Ouida, so sorry for the void you will feel. Mr George would always ask about Mama at election time and she would ask if I saw him yet. He stepped out just ahead of her as she is in her last stage of the journey today too. Our community of their younger days were real neighbors that became family. May you experience that as the memories , yours and those who share with you, bring you joy and comfort.

I have so many memories of Uncle George sitting in Mamaw Jones's kitchen and hearing them talk. He could tell Mamaw just what he thought and she could tell him right back. They were plain with one another but they loved one another. They were so much alike in a lot of ways even though they were only half brother/sister. He saw to it that she was well provided for when he leased her farmland for as long as she lived and always told my Mother let me know if Thelma needs anything. Praying God's comfort on you Ouida and all of the family.
