Sheilla Norene Taylor Sims, 75, of Searcy passed away February 19, 2021 in her home. She was born November 30, 1945 in Monette, Arkansas to the late James Leon Taylor and Berlie (May) Taylor.

She is survived by her husband Joe Sims; daughter Brandi Smith (Dennis) of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; six grandchildren Emily Smith of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, Dee Smith (Liberty) of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, Jon Casey Hudson of Paragould, Arkansas, Drew Bishop, Lance Bishop, Whitney Bishop all of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two sisters Karen Burrell (Marvin) of Camden, Arkansas, Deborah Ware (Len) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and sister-in-law Lavonda Taylor of West Memphis, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and family members George Anthony Taylor and Lonnie Taylor.

Norene loved her family dearly and was blessed to have married her soul mate and best friend Joe. She enjoyed cooking, canning and fishing. Shes was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.

Due to the most recent COVID-19 directive, face covering must be worn at all times and six-feet distancing will be observed.

So very sorry for your loss!
We love both Norene and you so very much! I grew up with you both all through my life and will miss Norene so much. The last time I got to see you both was at Norfork Lake, oh how I miss those fish fry’s. She is definitely in a better place and probably getting caught up Dad.

You were the best sister-in-law. You loved all of your family. You loved Joe and you were the best mother to Brandi. Dee and Emily were blessed to have you as a grandmoher.

Norene was one of the finest people I've ever known. She had an exemplorary faith in Christ and she was a true friend. Norene will be sorely missed. May God bless Joe and the family.
