Margaret Janice Kiepe

of Harrison, AR

June 6, 1941 - February 5, 2021

Margaret J. Kiepe, age 79, of Harrison, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021. She was born June 6, 1941, in Whitesboro, Texas, the daughter of G.C. and Margaret (Galloway) Stone. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Tony Kiepe.

Margaret had the soul of an artist. She painted, sketched, and wrote poetry. She loved speaking of art and encouraged budding artists throughout the years. She crocheted many beautiful baby blankets for the children in her life. She loved to read her Bible and prayed each night falling to sleep to let the angels finish her prayers and she prayed for so many.

Margaret is survived by her brothers, Larry Stone of Barling, Arkansas and Randy Stone of Cebu, The Philippines; her sister, Sheila Scott, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her sons, David Kiepe of Boyd, Texas and Terry Hutchins of Van Buren, Arkansas; her daughter, Sharman (wife Jill) Holt, of Harrison; three wonderful grandchildren, Aquilino Lucero of Littleton, Colorado, Nicholas Lightfoot of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Domingo Lucero of Fort Hood, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Shane Murray and Azrael Lucero; and a host of many other family and friends.

We know Margaret would want to express how much she loved the Hillcrest family and what they have meant to her and our family. We will all miss her beautiful smile that lit up her blue eyes and every room she entered.

Graveside service was held 10:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2021, at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas with Leonard Mast officiating.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
