I served in the Army.
Jackie MorrisonI am a Veteran.

of Rock Creek, AR

August 19, 1936 - January 26, 2021

Jackie Morrison, age 84 of Rock Creek, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at his home. He was born in Rock Creek, Arkansas on August 19th, 1936 to Bartley Morrison and Faye Watts Morrison.

Jackie was a veteran of the United States Army. After serving in the Army he spent his working years in various trades. Many years were spent as a sheet rock finisher in several states and local areas. Jackie was a fishing guide and canoe hauler on the Buffalo River, a job he enjoyed very much. His last place of employment and perhaps his most gratifying was as a school bus driver with the Public School System. He made many friends during his tenure as a bus driver. He touched the lives and hearts of many young people and is remembered to this day as a friend to all. Jackie had a fantastic, quick, witty sense of humor. He loved making kids laugh, telling stories and pulling tricks on people. He liked having lunch at the Senior Center and his smiling face will be greatly missed by his community and surrounding area.

Survivors include his two brothers, Ted (Jo Ann) Morrison of Springdale and Jim (Nanci) Morrison of Heber Springs; one sister, Jo Ann (Gene) Reed of Hastings, NE; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Bartley and Faye Morrison; and brother, Leroy Morrison and his wife, Shirley.

Funeral services for Jackie will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at Harriet Assembly of God Church in Harriet, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Watts and Bro. Donnie Horton officiating. Special music will be performed by Jackie's brother, Jim Morrison. Flower arrangement is by Jo Morrison and Nandra Campbell. Burial will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery. Bearers will be Mike Reed, Mark Reed, James Reed, Bo Morrison, Brady Morrison, Ronnie Morrison, Steve Morrison, Randy Morrison and Richard Watts. Honorary bearers will be Will Campbell, Ben Campbell, John Morrison, Randy Clark, Bennie Watts, Gary Holliman and Randy Loggins.

Soooo very loss of words on Jacks passing..... What a pleasure getting to know him over all the years between him hauling my kids on the bus and working for his mom and then him showing me his route so as he said “I can retire”. So I took it so he could!!!😊 Always made me laugh with his many stories!!! I finally got him to come to the center after many tries.... then he would be out everyday..... He will be missed very much and prayers for comfort for his wonderful family....❤️

Jack was always happy and fun loving. He had a smile and a laugh for everyone. He loved the Senior Center and no matter what we served for lunch his comment was “it’s better than anything I could have fixed”. Jack was a good man and will be greatly missed by so many. Prayers for family and friends.

Our Sympathies to the Morrison family in the loss of their loved one. Jackie was loved by many. You could always expect a big ole smile and something funny would be said in any conversation you had with him to make you laugh! He was someone you could always depend on being at the Rock Creek Decorations on Memorial Day Weekends where we usually got to visit with him and others of his family. He usually stood by the gate entrance to the cemetery or you would often see him with his Mother Faye Morrison, his brothers , or his sister or other friends. Admired by many of his cousins of the Watts/Davis/ Holliman families. All the family are in our prayers for peace and comfort at this time. Marinda and Rick Holliman and family
