Leila was a kind and gracious lady. We both have wonderful childhood memories of her! She was Phyllis Sunday School teacher. We both worked in the farming fields of the Weavers; Rick driving tractor for Leon and Phyllis chopping cotton. Leila always liked to bring us cookies and lemonade. She and Leon would help the Collins' throw a big hayride in the Fall each year. She sent us Christmas cards until about 5 yrs. ago. We always looked forward to hearing from her. We are acquainted with some of the Masterson family members; went to school at Nettleton and Brookland. Rick & Phyllis Jaquess

I witnessed Mrs. Weavers love for children first hand almost everyday at the school farm. She touched the life of literally hundreds of kids at the FFA farm since 1999. She taught them the meaning of love, compassion and caring. She labored right beside them helping them grow a garden and farrowing baby pigs. She loved each one as if they were her own. The Nettleton FFA would not have a school farm today, if Mrs Weaver had not helped us. I feel it was destiny that it happened. So many kids needed a daily hug and she needed the kids to hug on. The schools livestock barn was named in her honor in 2005. What a angel on earth !

Sympathy for all those who loved Mrs Weaver, especially her relatives, Brock & Donna Coggins (to whom she referred as her adopted son ), Mike Cope, special asst Danielle Stokes and all employees of Bill’s Market at Hilltop, where she was a beloved customer for many, faithful years. I sat & ate 3 meals a day w/ Mrs Weaver. She was one of the most loving Christian ladies I have ever had the privilege of knowing. When she prayed, she led us right to the feet of God. She must be rejoicing being with her Saviour, Jesus Christ,,, she shared Jesus with everyone. What a witness she had of all the things Jesus had done for her in her rugged life,,. She helped sooo many people because she loved them & wanted them to succeed... everyone who ever met Mrs Weaver was introduced to Jesus in some way...
Mrs Weaver was most proud of being able to let Nettleton FFA buy her part of her farm, big barn & big Chick coop,,, WHY??!
Because she wanted children in town to be able to raise livestock, all sorts of animals, in a safe place,,, she even taught some students exactly how to raise livestock, pigs, etc.
Mrs Weaver worked this farmer every day, right beside her husband, Leon,,, on Sundays they attended church & she would invite many to come hsvr dinner then go back for Sunday night services. God gave this woman a “missionary” heart... she loved reading the Bible & discussing it... she was an Angel who walked among us, sharing her Lord...
Now your earthly journey is done Mrs Weaver and God has so many crowns to give you because of your godly work that you will need a big field wagon in which to carry them. Rest, Sweet Friend ,,, Rest,,, I will miss you terribly as I have these last few “Covid” months,,but I know where you are and know God is watching ovef you and healed your aches & pains. You will always be my shining example,,, thank you for that ,,, thank you for watching out for me my first night at South Winds...I will never forget you and I thank you for making me a better Christian ,,, May God bless all of us who loved her and may we never forget her loving Heart.
