To Alvin Edwards Family:
I'm so sorry. I send my condolences and prayers for healing to Alvin's family. I just found out on a weird hunch and search thinking what happened to "Ed", that's what we called him in the 1st and the 1/5th at Fort Hood. He came to Galveston a couple of years ago and I missed him. On the phone, we laughed, we both had bought a new 2014 white Mustang. We lost touch when my phone number changed.
He was one of my M88, (Recovery Track) buddies from Fort Hood. We use to spend a lot of time together. He came to my House in Clyde, Texas and met my parents. Ed and I played a lot of "Spades" as partners and we whipped everyone that sat down at the table; usually an Army cot. He use to tell me stories about the Arkansas creek banks and fishing while we were in Iraq and how tall the weed would grow; which was very comforting at the time. He wasn't like anyone I had ever met before. I'll never forget him. Thank you! and may God rest your soul in peace my brother.

Ed called me "Buck"
