Murl James Davis

of Mabelvale, AR

February 22, 1941 - November 27, 2020

''I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing''¦.
I know God is there and that is enough for me''.

Murl James Davis, 79 of Mabelvale, AR stepped through the last door into the arms of his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2020. Murl had a full life and was very dedicated to helping his family and friends. He was a hard worker and was always putting others before himself. He never met a stranger, and his gift of talking and praising the Lord, even through his battle with cancer, will be remembered by many.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Donald & Linda Davis of Benton, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Stan Hill and grandson, Torey Bell of Benton, AR; daughter, Benna Null and granddaughter, Emily Null of Hot Springs, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Mike Evatt of Mabelvale, AR; grandson, Ben Parker of Conway, AR; granddaughter, Katie Travis and great grandchildren, Charlie, Maddie and Jamie of Conway, AR; and daughter and son-in-law, Debbie & Jimmy George and grandson, Brandt George of Hot Springs, AR.

Due to Murls wishes, there will be no public viewing. A private memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Rodney White of Walnut Street Church of God.

In lieu of condolences, we ask that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild, or friend and express your love. By doing this you are giving him a wonderful goodbye.

Cindy,
I may not have known your dad but I believe as a general rule children are a reflection of the parents. You and I have known each other practically all of our lives I can say that your reflection have your dad says so much about him. He must have been a really good man in so many ways. May the Lord be with you and your family during this time and may He comfort you is only He can.

He was my first cousin. His dad & my dad were brothers. I am glad to learn of his love of God and look forward to seeing him again in heaven.
