Jason Allen Boernson

of Harrison, AR

October 30, 1982 - July 10, 2020

Jason Allen Boernson, age 37, of Harrison, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, with his family by his side, at Hospice of the Hills. Jason was born on October 30, 1982, in Harrison, the son of Rhonda (Bailey) and Tommy Pulliam and Jeff Boernson.

Jason was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Harrison. He married the love of his life, Sheryl (O'Briant) Boernson, on October 4, 2014, at 12 Oaks Mansion. He was a 2001 graduate of Bergman and was known as the ''Pepsi Man'' for 19 years doing sales for Pepsi. Jason had leukemia as a child and because of his love of NASCAR, he requested through Make-A-Wish to meet Dale Earnhart, Sr. He shared his love of NASCAR with friends and family and was an avid Razorback fan in a house divided, with Sheryl being an LSU fan. He has always been a fan of Elvis, Meryl Haggard, Johnny Cash, and CCR, and enjoyed fishing, but rarely had a chance to go.

Jason, above all, was a man dedicated to the Lord. He would never miss any opportunity to share his faith and care for others in need.

His family was his world and his kids would say that dad was always laughing and telling jokes, and the love he felt for his wife was endless. The love he showed for his wife, children, grandchildren, and family will forever be felt. The love for his friends set the foundation for a deeper relationship for their families. Even after cancer took his voice, he continued to share positive messages on Facebook about caring for others and loving the Lord.

Jason is survived by his wife, Sheryl, of the home; his parents; his grandparents, Donald and Mary Bailey and Shirley Bailey; two sons, Hunter Allen Boernson and Paul ''AJ'' Lummus; four daughters, Jayleigh Kate Annie Boernson, Kourtlin (Jacob) Ricketts, Hailey Lummus, and Emberlynn Willhite; two grandchildren, Porter Ricketts and Teagan Ricketts; his step-brother, Cody Pulliam; his aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Red Oak Baptist Church.

Funeral service was Friday, July 17, 2020, at Red Oak Baptist Church.

Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Bailey, Josh Bailey, Shane Bailey, Rodney Beaver, Kenny Pillow, Kelly Pillow.

Honorary pallbearer were: Jeremy Hovis, Dr. Ross Halsted, Dustin Reese, Aaron Jones, Wayne Smith, Dan Dillard, Derek Henderson, David Alexander, Joseph Alexander, and Jacob Ricketts.

Jason's family wishes to thank Dr. Kevin Jackson, Dr. John Sorg, NARMC CCU, Hospice of the Hills, Dr. Brent Rosson, Kyle Johnson, Thomas Pepler, and the ICU and PPC at Barnes Jewish.

Roller-Christeson Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines for COVID-19 and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 100 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Jason's family C/O Regions Bank.

I am so sorry I didn’t get the chance to meet Jason, but we communicated on Facebook and he was always in such a happy mood, especially when it came to talking about his family, and I got the chance all though thru Facebook to watch his little girl grow and oh my goodness did she love her daddy.
And again even though we never met in person he made me feel welcome and just like family. I’m going to miss you cousin but I know you’re in good hands now and that I will see again...
Rest well my friend.....
