Virtual hugs for all the family. We'll miss Roy deeply. Since we're new to Arkansas and have only been here since 1997, it is neat to read everyone's comments and memories about Roy's life. Roy in recent years had volunteered at Choctaw Food Bank. And shared much of his garden with us to give to the needy. We'll miss his banana pudding and greens at potluck. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go with you all this day and always. Roy greet Kay in heaven for us.

So sorry for your loss and I know Roy will be missed. I sure enjoyed working with Roy while he was with the Forestry Commission. He was a great dedicated worker going to many wildfires at all times day or night. He was a great asset to the Forestry Commission and I always appreciated more his Christian witness!

Steve, Mike and Gayla,

Your Dad blessed us all. I guess we're not supposed to know how many Pizza Hut pizzas Roy secretly paid for for our Choctaw Church of Christ youth group outings. It was a bunch of them I think. I remember when you Mike and all the guys and I and were playing football, if we glanced behind the sidelines, Mr Roy was one of the dads standing there on the track getting close to us as possible so we could feel them with us as we played against Greenbrier and Heber Springs and the others. They skipped the bleachers. They were down there with us.

Love you all. He's with Kay. Think about how happy they both are.

Steve, Mike, and Gayla,
I am sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Every time I saw Roy he always would grab my ear like he did when I was little. I always just laughed. He will be greatly missed in so many ways. I have a lot of memories of our family camping together, church, fishing, and many more. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend visitation or the service. You are in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come. May God give you peace and comfort for the days to come.

To all of Roy’s families, I am praying for you. I worked at the Forestry in Greenbrier. Your Dad always had a smile on his face, a joy to be around. Everyone enjoyed having him. Didn’t get to spend much time in conversation with him, but knew he was a dedicated hard worker. And a good Christian man. God bless all of you.
