August 25, 1950 - April 30, 2020
Thomas Michael Heinze, 69, of North Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020. He was born on August 25, 1950 to the late Bennie and Callie Lou Heinze in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Tom was a grumpy man, but a loving man. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for his loved ones. He enjoyed a life of fossil hunting, genealogy research, history, and woodwork. He spent most of his life's work as a chemist and devoted much time to medical research. Tom loved to smoke a good cigar out on the deck at home or on the balcony overlooking the beach. He adored his kids and grandkids, loving known as "Topaw." His best friend was his grandson, Charlie. He enjoyed traveling and long drives with his wife, Sue, going to the movies, laughing with friends in his home, and snuggling with his kitties and grandchildren. He and Sue took in many friends and children over the years with no question. He was a Dad, Topaw, and friend to so many.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sue Heinze; sons, Alex Heinze and Daniel Baum; daughter, Caitlin Baum Hicks (Daniel); grandchildren, Michael, Virtue, Tucker, Kymbrianna, Cristafer, Charlie, Joey, Paisley, Piper, Konor and Karlee; sister, Jane Heinze-Fry (Gene); and many acquired children and grandchildren.
Thomas is preceded in death by his son, Patrick Heinze.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
