Dear Sweet Family, I just wanted to extend to you my heartfelt sympathy. Janie was such a sweet lady. My parents were Glen and Mary Burford. I have so many fond memories of holidays when all of you and Charles Olen’s family would be at Effie and Etoil’s home. I will certainly be praying for each of you ❤️
Jack,
I was sad to read that your Janie has passed away. I’m praying for God’s comfort and strength be given to you and the family. Thank you for being a good friend to me during our work together. I highly respected you (still do). God bless you.

Jack and family, I was so sorry to read in yesterday's paper about Jack. I have such good memories of you and Janie at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and you presiding over almost all the Havens funerals. I didn't know Janie was ill. Breaks my heart to see someone lose their life partner after so many years. I'm still trying to get over losing Leon. Daddy and Mother always looked forward to your visits, and always thought they'd got a "dandy" when you came to their church to preach. I will always remember Janie with a sweet smile on her face. Again, I am so sorry. With God's love, Linda Havens Smith (Doyle and Mildred's daughter)
Jack and Family: We were so sorry to learn of Janie's death. We did not know of her illness, or that you had moved. We assume that the move was to be hear Andy. That is the reason or address is listed as Rogers. We are in an assisted living near Cindy. I am confined to a wheel chair and Joyce is undergoing treatment for cancer. We have enjoyed fun times with you and Janie trough the years. Of course Janie and I grew up together in First Baptist in Springhill, LA. Our love to you and family. We would love to hear from you.
I’m so sorry for your loss Mr. Jack. You and your family are in my prayers.
Jack, Tommy and I were so sorry to hear of Janie's passing. We both enjoyed knowing both of you and sharing time together at Roller Christmas Parties and parties at Candace's home. Tommy loves and respects you as his mentor and friend and is so thankful for your training him when he first came to Citizens' Fidelity. I enjoyed talking with Janie and felt we had a lot in common since we had both taught children in school. I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for God to strengthen and comfort you as well as send you friends and family to do the same when this pandemic is over. Stay strong and safe. God bless you.
Sorry for your loss. My mom was Lynell Burford Jennings.
Sorry to hear about Janie. Our thoughts are with you.
She was my first cousin--my dad Doyle Strong's big brother Frank's little girl. By the time I came along Janie was grown and gone, but as things often work out our paths would cross over the years. Every time we saw each other I had the instant feeling of family, of oneness and of love. She and Jack were the perfect couple, just like her older brother Charles Olin and his wife Kathryn. Always loving and Christlike, she embodied selflessness and ladyhood. She always bridged the geographic distance between us and made me realize the real meaning of family. Jack, you and your family have been in my prayers. I look forward, as I know you do, to the time when we'll all be together again. Peace and God's Blessings be with you. Charles Thomas
I grew up in the Welcome community of Arkansas, always close in proximity to our cousin Janie. Her father Frank and my grandmother Canary were brother and sister. She was not an exact contemporary of mine, but this just meant more hero worship on my part. She was beautiful (big eyes, pretty curls) and brilliant (an achieving academic)--in short, perfect in my eyes. I loved her voice, with that little lilt in it. We moved to be near our Michigan and Illinois sons nearly twenty years ago, but her name is still dear, dear to me. I am so sorry for your great loss. Anne
Jack,
I am sorry to hear of Janie's passing. My Dad was her 1st cousin. We lived next door to Effie and Etoil in Welcome, Arkansas. I remember seeing you and Janie there during the summers when I was growing up. She was always such a sweet and cheerful lady.
Larry Burford Jr.
Prayers for you and your family. May god give you comfort and peace.
So sorry, Mr. Jack. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love through Christ,
Andy, Clay, & Bro. Jack:
So sorry to hear of Janie's passing. Like me, Andy & Clay, I have a Proverb 31:10-end Momma, & Like me, Bro. Jack, I have that also in my wife, Sherril.
All of us miss you guys being in Conway. I also miss visiting to hear Bro. Jack do a Sermon, extra special being from my Christian & masonic brother.
I will always very vividly recall when Momma did Mrs. Strong's hair that your Grandma (Clay & Andy) though the world of Janie & Bro. Jack, as did Doc & Betty Case. "Oh how I've been blessed with the greatest children, grandchildren, & in-law children, they too are just like my own as if I had given birth to them also", I've heard say many times in her Louisiana Southern Accent. I loved to hear Mrs. Strong speak, the first person I ever personally knew from Louisiana.
Bro. Jack, all mothers-in-law should have the love & respect that Mrs. Strong had for you & you for her. I could preach a sermon here; but, Bro. Jack, you could say it much more eloquently than I ever could. I just wish I could hear you preach one more sermon.
I did not know today was the graveside 4-24-2020; but, my, nay our entire family have you all in our thoughts & prayers. I will close with this though that encouraged me from Brother Mark Coleman, now preaching in Illinois, when his Mom passed.
I was sad at that fact & called to comfort Mark but it was him, who gave me comfort to the effect. I will miss her; but, I am happy that my Mom is no longer having to suffer the physical ailments & sadness of Earth.....she was a Christian & now is at rest, at peace in Heaven, waiting for the day when all of our spirits will one day see each other again for our eternal rest.

Janie was always ready and willing to help me with any project that I was assigned and when I had to do Bible School for three years, she was always such an encourager and ready source of help in any way that I needed! May the Lord bless you and keep you in these days and make His face shine upon you.

Clay and the rest of the family - we are terribly sorry for your loss. While we didn’t know Mrs. Bloxom, we knew her son and the caring and thoughtful leader and person that he is. This is a testament to his upbringing and for that, we thank Mrs. Bloxom. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Bloxom made my time at Marguerite Vann much more pleasant! She was by far one of my favorite teachers at any grade or school!.
We're so thankful we got to be with Aunt Janie last summer at our Bloxom reunion. While our hearts are sad that she's not physically here with us, they rejoice because she's with Jesus, and she is whole. There are so many happy memories that include Aunt Janie, and we'll cling tight to those memories! Prayers and love to each one of you, especially Friday at 2.
While I never had the pleasure to meet you, I have had the opportunity to know Clay well. He is absolutely one of the finest men I have ever known. A man of care and character who treats people with compassion and respect. To me, he is a testament to the fine women you must have been because only a true saint could raise such a fine man.
So sorry to hear this. She was a precious lady and wonderful teacher. Loved running into her in grocery store and catching up on the family. Praying for peace for all of you❤️
Clay, prayers with you and family. God Bless.

Dear Uncle Jack, Andy, Clay and family, Y'all are covered by our prayers daily. Sixty six years...so many pleasant memories!! Some of our memories are Aunt Janie's delight in the collecting of "Beanie babies" for her sweet grand daughters when they were small. Her wonderful egg & sausage breakfast casseroles when we stayed over night on visits. And of course that sweet little doggie!! The image of her in the presence of the Lord with others of our Family of Faith is a JOYOUS ONE! May the Holy Spirit surround yall with loving memories to comfort you as you share in the celebration of her life. Love, Dave (nephew) & Lois
