I was saddened to see Mary had passed away. I met her when I was a patient at a UAMS Dermatology office. She had such a sweet and quiet spirit. I have visited with her occasionally around town over the years. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

My most heartfelt condolences go out to Mary's family. I was a dermatology resident at UAMS and she was pivotal in my training. Her wisdom and kindness guided me as I learned the practice of dermatology. I still have a loaf baking pan she gave me as a wedding gift 21 years ago- every time my husband and I use it, we think of her. May she rest in peace.

I worked with Mary in the outpatient clinics at UAMS. Mary was completely unflappable regardless of the circumstances, consummately professional with patients and staff and endlessly kind. My thought and prayers to her family as they mourn her loss. We’ve all gained a guardian angel.

We pause to remember a dear person. I first met Mary Carol in 1956 when we, as teenagers, enrolled in the nursing program at Arkansas Baptist Hospital. She was a dear friend who kept our class close as long as she was able. I join the many people who grieve her passing and rejoice that she is now at peace. My deepest sympathy to all who who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary. She and my mother grew up together at Antioch MBC, and she was a very dear friend to both my parents, George and Abbie (Purvis) Stricklen, to my Aunt Erline, and then to me, over many, many, years. Singing next to Mary, whether in the choir or in the congregation, was always such a joy. I loved listening to her beautiful voice! I am so thankful that I am certain of where she is, and that will continue our friendship "when we all get to heaven"! Until then, we will miss her greatly!
