Esther Janetta Brown went to be with our heavenly Father on January 29, 2020 at the age of 93. She went peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her family.
She retired as a division manager from Sears Crosstown in Memphis, TN in 1986. At that time she and her husband, Elvin moved to Heber Springs, AR.
Esther was a member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas. She was an avid gardener and loved to sew and cook. She made homemade quilts which she entered in the Mid South Fair and has a scrapbook full of ribbons she won.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Morton; her husband, Elvin (EE Brown) of 57 years; her daughter, Barbara Wyrick and four brothers.
Esther is survived by her brother, Larry Morton of Milton, FL; one daughter, Sharon May of West Memphis, AR and husband David; one son, Kenneth Brown of Heber Springs, AR and wife Nancy; three granddaughters, Brandi Argo of Horn Lake, MS and husband Jay; Anita Mayle of Olive Branch, MS and husband Rick; Annette Payne of Olive Branch, MS and husband Joe; two grandsons, David Brown of Heber Springs, AR and wife Esther and Brad Bennett of Olive Branch, MS and wife Amy. She has twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The visitation will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Sugarloaf Baptist Church, 699 Wilburn Road, Heber Springs, AR at 10:00AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR at 3:30PM.
