Carl Thomas ''Tommy'' Young, 72, of Benton, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2019. He was born October 30, 1946 to Thomas Howard and Elizabeth Wilson Young.
Tommy was a very happy and giving man. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed eating, fishing, camping trips and was an avid shopper. He was a wonderful and loving friend to many and his memory will be cherished and his legacy will continue on through those who loved and cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife whom he adored with all his heart, Bonnie Carol Whitley Young.
Tommy is survived by his two aunts, Barbara Hill and Shirley Paul, both of Sparta, Tennessee; two very special friends, Gary and Kathy Baker; 6 ''adopted'' grandkids, his nephew, Gary Whitley, a niece Carla Grebert, and many other friends and those he called his family.
A Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, 306 S. Main Street (501-315-4047) with Bro. Kim Hammer to officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell.
