Charity Wadene Adams

of Searcy, AR

October 14, 1926 - December 9, 2018

Wadene was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, Canada, on October 14, 1926, to Wade and Charity Hibbard, and passed from this life to her heavenly home on December 9, 2018 at the age of 92, while listening to Carol Jean and Kathy sing church songs. Her family moved from Luseland, Saskatchewan to Sarnia, Ontario, Canada in 1937 or 1938, when Wadene was about 11 or 12 years old. Wadene met Robert C. Adams during World War II and they were married in Sarnia on June 14, 1946. They had five children: Carol Marie Henderson (Larry); James R. Adams (Carol Jean); Judy S. Ruth (Charles W. ''Bill''); Kathy F. Chesshir (Charles); Ronald J. Adams (Nelda).

Wadene lived a life of service to her family and to the Lord. She loved to paint and left quite a legacy of paintings to many across the country. She loved to teach people about Jesus, and encouraged their walk with the Lord. She loved to get the family together to sing, especially gospel music. There was much love and laughter when the family was able to be together.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wade and Charity Hibbard; her brothers, Ralph Hibbard and his wife, Hazel; and Aubrey Hibbard; and her sister, Sybil Staggs and her husband, James Staggs. She is survived by her brother Aubrey's wife, Marie, by her five children and their spouses; by her grandchildren: David Adams (Shannon), Anita Killins (Jason), Miriam Lee (Shawn), Angela Stoehr (Regan), April Turner (Mike), Mariann Boyce (Luke), Renee Henderson; Tiffany Deffenbaugh (Mickey), Richard Ruth (Nicia); John Chesshir (Summer), Melanie Masters (Andrew); Joel Adams (Hayley), Jimmy Adams (Brittany); and 33 great-grandchildren, not including all of her ''adopted'' kids and grandkids, whom she loved and included as family.

The Memorial Service for Wadene Adams will be held at the College Church of Christ, 712 E. Race Street, Searcy, Arkansas, Saturday, December 22, 2018, with the photo collage viewing at 10:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m.

Wadene was to me my second mother. She and Bob were so nice to me and loved me as a son.
I stayed with the family for weekends when I was in the Army and still to this day cherish my time with ( my) family.
The songs we would sing around the dinner table I still sing. The whole family was and still is a inspiration to me.
She was a true believer in Jesus.
The heavens rejoiced when she arrived and I along with many others that did know her and Bob were the blessed ones.
To the family my heart goes out to you and the memories as well
Love in Christ
