William ''WJ'' Wooten, 90, of Morrilton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016. He was born Saturday, January 23, 1926 to Albert Robert Wooten and Gussie Burns Wooten.
Mr. Wooten is survived by two sons, Bobby Wooten (Debbie), of Morrilton, Arkansas; Randy Wooten of Mt. View, Arkansas; one daughter, Gwen Williams (James), of Faulkner County, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one brother, David Wooten (Judy) of Louisville, Kentucky; and one aunt, Darlene Wooten, of Rondo, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mary Thompson Wooten and his second wife Stella Louise Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was a proud member of the United States Army during World War II and received two purple hearts, two bronze stars, a expert infantry badge, and participated in Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns.
Graveside services for Mr. Wooten will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at LaGrange Cemetery, in LaGrange, Arkansas with Brother J.C. Kinder officiating. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, Marianna has charge of arrangements. View and sign online guestbook www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/Marianna
